Terms and Conditions

COVID-19: Camp Nakamun is complying to all current Public Health Guidelines and Restrictions that have been set forth by the Alberta Chief Medical Officer and Alberta Health. All sites and accommodations will be cleaned and sanitized as required between each rental. At this time all camp buildings are closed to campers. Specific guidelines related to physical distancing and other COVID related restrictions are posted throughout the camp. Campground occupants are responsible for adhering to all public health orders. Failure to do so may result in a fine and/or eviction from the campground at the discretion of Camp Nakamun Leadership.

Occupant’s Responsibilities: The registered occupant assumes all responsibility for the behaviour of and/or damages caused by their family members. Registered occupants will be charged a fee for any damage of the site at the discretion of the Camp Nakamun Leadership. Children must be supervised at all times. Uncontrolled, destructive behaviour will not be tolerated and may lead to eviction from the campground.

Cancellations/Changes/Refunds: You can cancel or change your reservation and collect a full refund on your camping fees (except a $10.00 cancellation/change fee) if you make the change prior to your arrival date.  Remember, if you don’t cancel your reservation or do not show up, all fees are forfeited.

Check In/Check Out: In light of the new strict cleaning procedures required between each rental, checkout time is 11:00am. Campers may check into their campsite or accommodations starting at 4:00pm. Failure to check out on time may result in a fine being charged to the card on file.

Site Occupancy: Each campsite and Bluebird Cottage may only be occupied by 8 members of the same household or family cohort. To ensure that proper physical distancing procedures are being met, no day guests are permitted to visit the campsite. All occupants within the campground must have an overnight campsite or rental booked.

Noise/Disturbances: Please remember the proximity of your neighbours and be respectful of noise throughout the day. Quiet hours begin at 11:00pm and run until 8:00am the following morning. During this time please turn off any music and keep voices down. Any disturbance that intrudes on another camper is not permitted.  This includes damaging property, fighting, screaming, playing loud music, using insulting or obscene language, etc. All fireworks are prohibited.

Alcohol and Drugs: Camp Nakamun is an alcohol and drug free campground and therefore no alcohol or recreational drugs (including cannabis) may be brought into or consumed within the campground. Failure to comply will result in a fine and/or eviction from the campground at the discretion of Camp Nakamun leadership.

Pets: During the 2020 camping season, dogs are welcome within the campground and must be on a leash at all times. Dog owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs.  No dogs are allowed in the Bluebird Cottages, any campground buildings, or in/on play structures.

Campfires: Fire permits are required at time of booking to have a campfire. The permit fee includes access to firewood. Failure to purchase a fire permit before having a fire will result in a $50.00 fine. Fires are only permitted within the fire pits provided.  Moving fire pits is prohibited.  Removal of firewood from the campground is prohibited and is considered theft. Fire pits are not to be used to burn garbage.

Personal Injury/Property: Camp Nakamun shall not be liable for injury to persons or for personal property loss/damage.

Water Usage: Water at the campsites is potable well-water and is for domestic use only.  Washing of vehicles, campers, etc. is not permitted in the campground. Potable water will be available to fill drinking receptacles only.

Boat Launch: The camp boat launch will be open and available for use during your stay. There will be a designated boat trailer area to park your boat trailers during your stay that is near the campsites and boat launch.

Dump Station: There are no sewer hooks ups at any campsites. However, if needed, there is a dump station for you to deposit your wastewater.

Payment

MasterCard, Visa, and American Express Credit Cards are acceptable methods of payment. Our Terms are payment in full at time of reservation.

Privacy Statement

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Only authorized employees within Camp Nakamun, on a need to know basis, will use any information collected from individual customers. Employees and company will not have access to your payment information.

Informed Consent

I release Camp Nakamun, its trustees, directors, corporation members, staff and agents from any loss, personal injury, accident, misfortune or damage to the above named or his/her property, with the understanding that reasonable precautions shall be taken to ensure the health and safety of the above named. I understand that Camp Nakamun, it’s staff or agents reserve the right to dismiss a participant who is in their opinion a hazard to the safety and well-being of others, who appears to have rejected the reasonable guidelines of the activities.

I have read and understand all the information contained in the registration process including these Terms and Conditions and accept the conditions as stated, with my signature, may be used as a legal document in any court of law.
