A Season of Giving Back

December is here, and with it, our Month of Giving! As a non-for-profit charity, we rely so heavily on the generosity of our families, communities, alumni, and donors to do what we do. Not only is running camp program expensive, paying staff is expensive. Heating buildings is expensive. Moving waste water is expensive! Everything we do has a cost, and we are so blessed by the community of supporters who help us meet our financial needs to simply keep camp running.

This fiscal year, we have a goal of raising $305,000 in donations towards our general, capital, and sponsorship campaigns. This money would go towards things like heating buildings and transporting waste water (seriously, it’s so expensive), but also to doing projects around camp, buying supplies needed to welcome more than 2000 campers this summer, and making it possible for families who can’t afford camp to send their kids through sponsorships. It takes a lot to run camp, and every little bit helps so much.

During our December Month of Giving, we are aiming to raise $100,000 of our $305,000 year goal. Donations can be made with credit card on our donation page, by e-transfers to campnakamun@gmail.com (please write it the notes that it is a donation), or by cash or cheque. Your generosity helps us keep Camp Nakamun a place for connection, growth, and memories as people encounter God, enrich relationships, and experience creation here.
